DOT BAR x MONGKOK TEA HOUSE
From Saigon to Camberwell — July 17, 2025
From the backstreets of Ho Chi Minh City to the quiet elegance of Camberwell, Mongkok Tea House is honoured to host an exclusive one-night collaboration with the acclaimed DOT Bar — a rising star of Asia’s cocktail scene and one of Vietnam’s most awarded bars.
On Thursday, July 17, co-founders Mike and Paul will bring their creative vision and bold Saigon energy to Melbourne. Known for their meticulous craft and innovative flavour pairings, they’ll present a table-service cocktail experience that showcases five signature drinks — each exploring a different technique, flavour structure, or spirit identity. Every drink is designed uniquely for this evening, never to be repeated.
Bushmills Irish Whiskey
Enhancing the night are two iconic spirit houses that need no introduction. Bushmills Irish Whiskey, the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, brings over 400 years of tradition to the table — with its smooth, triple-distilled expressions offering rich notes of honey, malt, and oak. From the rugged coast of Northern Ireland, Bushmills is a masterclass in balance and heritage, a whisky loved by bartenders for its versatility and depth.
1800 Tequila
In contrast, 1800 Tequila represents the modern face of agave excellence. Made from 100% blue Weber agave and aged in both American and French oak barrels, 1800 is refined yet bold — a tequila that speaks to both tradition and innovation. Whether sipped neat or stirred into a complex cocktail, it brings a bright, peppery energy to every glass.
DOT – Vietnam’s Award-Winning Bar
The evening will also feature a special bar food menu created just for the occasion — distinct from Mongkok’s usual offerings, thoughtfully designed to pair with each cocktail and elevate the tasting experience.
There are two seatings available — from 6PM to 8PM, and 8PM to 10PM — with bookings highly recommended due to limited capacity. Walk-ins are welcome on the night, subject to availability.
This is more than a guest shift — it’s a rare cultural and creative exchange between two cities, two styles, and two philosophies of hospitality. Join us at Mongkok Tea House
734 Burke Road, Camberwell, and let DOT take you on a journey from Vietnam to your glass — powered by the soul of Bushmills and the fire of 1800 Tequila.
