To close out 2025, Mongkok Tea House welcomes Sydney’s MOKU for a special guest bartender takeover, bringing the MOKU bar team to Melbourne for one night only.

Jarsh Liu
Head Bartender at MOKU Sydney, leading cocktail menu development and design. His approach blends Japanese techniques with Australian ingredients, shaped by experience in Asian-style cocktails, Chinese spirits, and early training in Taiwan’s craft beer and tap-cocktail scene. His work focuses on clarity, balance, texture, and evolving flavour.

Aaron Hou
Creative force behind MOKU and Linla (Sydney), with a background spanning bars, global spirits brands, and guest-experience design. Aaron brings a concept-led, flavour-driven style influenced by Asian flavours and Japanese-inspired structure.

The Food | Guest Chef Collaboration

For this night only, cocktails will be paired with a Japanese yakitori-style menu created by Guest Chef Junjie (Jerry) Dai, in collaboration with the MOKU bar team.

A Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne graduate with experience across Japanese kitchens, yakitori, and yakiniku, Chef Junjie brings together classical technique and modern Japanese flavours, presenting a menu that balances tradition with his own refined twist.
The dishes are designed to mirror the pace, structure, and balance of the cocktails—showcasing wagyu, yakitori, and seasonal vegetables in a concise, focused format.
